Tell Me What to Read: 2015 Summer Reading Picks

Oh, you guys never let me down. So many good recommendations on this post (seriously, if you're looking for something to read, you'll find about fifty gems there).

After spending way too long reading reviews and looking up availability of various titles, I've finally picked three of this summer and I can't wait.

I hope you'll read along with me and I'll review each one here at the end of June, July, and August respectively.

Here's what I'll be reading:
Three great books to read this summer!

(By the way, if you've been paying careful attention (and I hope you haven't been), you'll notice I never reviewed the books last year. I blame three times and also being sick and pregnant. I'll do better this year, I promise).

  1. I've never heard of any of these, but they all sound so intriguing. I had no idea fiction was already being written about Will and Kate already!

  2. GREAT choices! I LOVED The War That Saved My Life - it's still one of my top contenders for Newbery this year (not that my opinion matters this time around!). And I devoured Being Mortal in one day and I think it's something everyone should read. (I don't know the middle book, but it sounds like something fun for summer!)

  5. I LOVED The Royal We! I'm not even a huge fan of the royals, but it was just so fun and sweet and awesome that I had a hard time putting it down.

  6. LOVED "The Royal We"! And a few of my SILs are friends since high school with Kimberly Brubaker Bradley! So cool to see a familiar name. I haven't read any of her books but added this one to my "to-read" list!

  9. So happy you're reading the Royal We! Just an FYI, it has a moderate amount of swearing so (since I think you mentioned it bothered you in audio versions) I'd get the paper version. Since I really want you to like it.

  11. First time writing to you....I've been subscribed for a few years and have thoroughly enjoyed your children and literary commentary! I'm a retired, Minnesota first grade teacher with two toddler grandgirls. I HIGHLY recommend Delicious! by Ruth Reichl. It has intrigue, mystery, NY city local color, a food magazine setting, interesting characters and excellent voice and style. BE SURE to read it!! I've spent about an hour trying to set up a blogger account. The page didn't look like your directions for linking, so not sure if you'll be able to answer me.
