A Versatile Blouse (and a White Plum Giveaway!)

When I did the great purge of my closet, it was immediately apparent to me that tops were the mega weak spot in my closet.

For years, it was pants. I generally owned a single pair of jeans I liked. But right now, I have a decent collection of pants I like and that fit me well and I have to keep myself from buying more.

This blouse from White Plum is exactly what I was looking for. A nice mix of neutral and fun - I love the little studs on the hem, but I like that they are subtle too - and it's easy to dress up or down. (If you use the code JANSSEN20, you'll get 20% off your whole order until May 7th).

White Plum isn't new to me (I wrote a post for them last year about my secrets for visiting a new city) and I love their wide variety of cute tops, dresses. And I really like that it's a woman-owned business, started by a mom.

They're giving away a $75 gift certificate to their shop (I have my eye on this top - I won't even let myself look at non-shirt items right now), and you'll definitely have no problem finding something you love.

Enter below!

Top: c/o White Plum // Jeans: Aeropostale // Shoes: Old Navy
Clutch: Elaine Turner // Bracelets: The Shine Project

  2. I love a great dress (for my summer staple), but I agree that I am lacking in the blouse department. Love this top!

  3. Mine are khaki shorts, tank tops, sandals, and short sleeved shirts.

  4. Every year I hunt for more summer dresses. If 10 years ago you would have told me I prefer to wear dresses to anything else, I would have laughed in your face. (not really, that's kind of rude)

I love the blouse. I always feel that blouses that are that blouse-y make me look bigger than I am, but maybe I'll try again this summer.

  5. I have this one blue and white sleeveless top with a scoop neck and a couple henley buttons that I need more like it this summer. I wore it non stop last summer because it looks great with jeans or shorts or a skirt. I even wear it to work with a brightly colored cardigan.

  6. I keep buying jeans, which is a shame because I can't wear them to work. What I really need to focus on is tops!

  9. Cute top! Lately I've gotten into comfy knit skirts and t-shirts or tanks for summer. And I finally found some long shorts that don't make me look stumpy...of course, it'll be next summer before I fit into them again (having a baby in a few weeks so...my summer wardrobe is going to be all about loose and/or stretchy this year). :)

  10. I love that top....I am due to have a baby in three weeks so I am assuming I could use looser fitting summer tops this year :)

  22. I have a tops problem, too, in that I have t-shirts and then good shirts for work, but nothing in the middle. I'm afraid of blousy ones, though; can you wash them? I haven't put a lot of effort/research into this yet, clearly. :) But I have put an embargo on t-shirt purchases, even though I looove knits.

  35. I am totally in the "in need of tops" club. I used to think finding jeans was hard but ugh, tops. Too sheer, too low cut, I'm not a huge fan of the high-low (I think it looks weird on me, maybe because I'm short?), too expensive, would ruin easily in the wash. Frustrating! I went out shopping with my mom this past weekend and told myself I needed tops and only tops. I got a maxi dress, cropped pants, jean capris, two sweat pants and yoga pants. Why?!!?!??!
My favorite Summer staples are dresses by the way. =]
