Some Days

Yesterday, it was blazing hot outside, and Ella was grumpy, and I was having one of those afternoons where you just want to lie on the floor and stare at the ceiling.

Which meant that for dinner we had these Banana Pancakes:

spread with this. . .

And miraculously, everyone was happy again.

(In my defense, I left the chocolate chips out of the pancakes and I used all wheat flour. So, you know, practically health food).

  1. Care to ship a batch to me at work today? Grumpy doesn't begin to cover it and it's going to be one of those days.

  2. Oh man! That sounds sooo good! And I totally understand those days where you want to lie on the floor, the cold tile floor, and stare at the ceiling.

  3. Oh, maple syrup mixed with pb?!?! I have to try that. I put some cinnamon/nutmeg in my banana pancakes. Gives them some spice.

  4. I TOTALLY know those days. Unfortunately for my family I usually succumb to the McDonald's dollar menu on those days. Yum yum and lucky Bart.

  10. Yesterday was SO one of those days for me. Philip is out of town and I'm rushing to finish these paintings and B was acting up and hitting and whining and throwing tantrums. Seriously glad that day is behind us.

Hope today was better for you :)

  11. I'm glad to know you have "those" kind of days too.

Nothing beats breakfast for dinner as a pick-me-up!

  13. Now you've made me hungry. Thanks for the recipe. I plan to try it out to uplift my day.

And poor Ella! The heat can be unbearable sometimes.

  14. No problem with pancakes for dinner. :)
BTW, since you are the guru, I sort of volunteered you to help your aunt M with her blog problems. You have my permission it reach thru cyberspace and smack me.
