Eek

I've just spent the last ten minutes standing outside my cubicle while a tiny mouse runs in and out. One of the managers chased it down and trapped it in a garbage can.

This is basically my worst nightmare come true.

I'm sorry, Boston, I'm afraid I can't come live there now.

  1. Are there lots of mice in Boston?

  2. There's lots of everything along the east coast. The only good thing about Vegas is that we don't really have pests. No mice, barely cockroaches, etc. Erin Harrison lived in NY for a while- she actually killed a rat with a frying pan! I couldn't imagine!

  3. So gross. I'm sure your place in Boston will be mouse-free. Right?

  6. Yep. Trees and humidity bring untold --roaches, ants, molds, termites (start watching This Old House to prepare), and even wandering squirrels. Get a cat. Or two. As for NYC and rats...ooh--I read staggering stats on the number of those there. Don't look too closely at the tracks in the subway stations. Or always carry a cat. Or two. Better still a mongoose. Do you like fish? NH and VT--two of my faves. And you'll also be close enough to head on up to Freeport, ME to L.L. Bean if you get insomia! They never close!!!

  10. Better your cubicle than your apartment. Believe me.

And let me just verify what everyone is saying about NYC and rats/mice. It's all true. I saw one so fat the other day I thought it could be a squirrel!
