The birthday spoils, two weeks after the fact.
(By the way, whenever I post something like this, I'm always convinced that this is the day that one of my former professors will Google me and think to themselves "hmm, she wrote some really lovely papers on the Communist Revolution in my class; must have been a fluke, since she now seems really into shoes and not much else.").
Shoes, Shoes, Shoes:
This is the birthday of metallic shoes, apparently. I totally love these, but HELP! What do you wear gold shoes with?
Yay, a skirt! What's not to like?
And another black skirt. So similar. But so different.
A skirt that looks much better ironed, but I'm afraid I'm one of those people who doesn't iron anything until I'm actually planning to wear it. So right now it's a wrinkly, straight-from-the-dryer mess.
This is the skirt my mom made me. It isn't so bright in real life - once again, my poor picture taking is ruining everything.
Check out the awesome tags my mom puts in the things she sews.
From Bart's parents - I can't wait to read it!
Nice color, excellent price.
My new favorite shirt.
I could really go for a cupcake right now. Especially if I got eat a dog's head off in the process.
Merrick drew this for my birthday. Someday when I get on the ball, it'll hang in my bathroom. Today it sits in my living room.
Close-up. Awesome, yes? Who doesn't love the original Winnie-the-Pooh drawings?
I also got two sweaters. This one (in black) from my mom, and another one that looks excellent on, but on a hanger it looks like a Mr. Rogers sweater, so I didn't post any pictures for fear that you'd all think I'd lost my mind.
