Anyway, I'm freakin' out over how much I love Lost. It doesn't infuriate me the way 24 does (hello, hordes of people who think that shutting Jack Bauer up in jail is the best way to save the day. Morons), and instead of getting progressively more ridiculous, it gets more and more awesome. Don't worry, Jack Bauer, I'll always think you're the most awesome super hero/unkillable guy ever, but you're just surrounded by too many idiots (not you, Tony. Or Michelle. Okay, fine; Kim, I'm totally talking to you).
As I now spend pretty much all my spare time
Never fear. I love Sawyer too. He's basically Greg House except with long hair and no shirt on. And I'm always a sucker for the character with the wise-cracks. A drug addict? Sure. A con-man, who has apparently killed about a dozen people? Whatever; as long as you're funny.
I'm amazed that I like so many of the characters. I like Kate (the other one who seems to be rather disliked). And Juliet, Sayid, Ben, Sun, Jin, Charlie (sob!), Hurley, Desmond, etc., etc., etc.
In fact, the only character I pretty much loathe is John Locke. About twice a season, he says something witty/clever/hilarious and I like him for ten seconds until he goes back to infuriating me so much that I must yell at the screen to voice my displeasure (yes, I'm afraid I am one of those people who yells at the TV. It cannot be helped).
We're two episodes away from being caught up and season 4 is so solid, so awesome, so hand-wringing incredible, that I'm afraid I might die of happiness/suspense/anticipation before the show finally wraps up the whole dang thing in 2010.
And sorry to waste your time with my ranting-rant about Lost and how "Yay! Best show ever!" it is, but seriously, I don't know why you aren't watching this show.
(Um, wow, after rereading this post, I feel like I need to quickly read and review about twelve thick academic-y books to recover my honor).
