I am not really one to laugh aloud when reading (Dave Barry being the notable exception); if something is really funny, I might let one little "heh" escape. Today, however, I received an email from my father-in-law that had me giggling uncontrollably at my desk.
I had emailed him earlier in the day about worrying and how it keeps my heart rate constantly elevated because I am indeed a world-class worrier (apologies to Bart who has to deal with my predictions that surely everything will fall through and I'll never get my diploma and we've probably forgotten to lock the front door and perhaps our car has been stolen in the five minutes we've been inside the grocery store).
"In any case, I do know that worry is effective: you can't imagine the many dire circumstances and outcomes I've warded off simply by worrying about them."
Just one more reason that I know I married into the right family.
